Using a fine needle, the sclerosing solution is injected into targeted veins. Multiple veins can be treated in one session. The procedure takes 15-45 minutes depending on the number of veins.
Compression stockings may be recommended for 1-2 weeks. Walking is encouraged. Avoid strenuous exercise for a few days. Treated veins gradually fade over 3-6 weeks.
